State-sponsored fund commits millions to venture-capital firm

Although he knows there's still much work to be done, Michael Goldberg has plenty to celebrate this new year. Bridge Investment Fund, Goldberg's Cleveland-based venture capital firm, has received a multi-million dollar commitment from the state-sponsored Ohio Capital Fund. The money will allow Bridge to continue its efforts in connecting bioscience interests between Israel and Northeast Ohio.

The $150 million Ohio Capital Fund serves as a catalyst for venture capital activity by driving private investment for Ohio companies in the early stages of business development.
